What’s Coming From A Year Without the Grocery Store in 2022?

What’s coming in 2022 for A Year Without the Grocery Store readers?  Most years, by January 1st, I have a good idea of the main objectives that I wish to accomplish in the coming year.  This year is no different in one way.  I do have several items that are on my to-do list for this year that I’m excited to share with you.

The Prepper PlannerWhat’s Coming?

FINALLY – The Prepper Planner!

If you all had any idea how long I’ve been working on this planner, all the roadblocks that I’ve encountered, all the delays I’ve faced, you’d be surprised that it’s FINALLY here too!  My back cover is being designed as we speak!  I’ve purchased my ISBN.  I just need to finalize details with my publisher BTW Global.  I know it’s late for the beginning of the year, but late is better than never, and next year’s should be for sale EARLY (Yes, you should already be thinking next Christmas – but only for this).

What is the Prepper Planner?

The Prepper Planner . . .

. . . is not just about filling your day with more things to do. It’s about helping you to create focus on what is most important – for your family, for your work, for your preparedness, and for your ministry. And Yes – everyone ministers one way or another.

——————————————————————————————

Do you ever feel that you wear so many hats (mom, wife, preparedness, career, ministry) that you can’t get everything that you need to get done – done. My crazy-busy life requires a system to get things done. More importantly, I have learned not just how to get things done, but how to balance the different areas of my life at the same time.

What about you?

  • Is life so full that you have a hard time getting necessary tasks done?
  • Do you have multiple facets of your life that you need to balance?
  • Do you have a hard time fitting purposeful preparedness into your schedule?
  • Even if you have time for preparedness, do you struggle to know which preparedness activities should take priority?
  • Do seasonal tasks – preparedness or otherwise – often fall by the wayside?

In the Prepper Planner, You Get Everything You’d Expect from a Planner PLUS. . .

  • An entire system to help you plan your day, week, month, season, and year!
  • Monthly preparedness focus areas with suggestions on what To Learn, To Do, and To Buy.
  • Step-by-step guidance on taking long-term goals and breaking them into bite-sized pieces.
  • Advice on taking those bite-sized pieces and finding a way to fit them into your busy life.
  • Monthly and Weekly priority pages and reflection pages
  • Everything you need in ONE spot to make getting things done more streamlined.

What’s Coming?

Always Prepared  Always Prepared

Get ready for what will eventually be a boxed set – Always Prepared.  I’m so close to finishing off the first rough draft of the first book titled Always Prepared – On the Go.  Time has been really hard to come by lately, and motivation to finish off this off in the midst of the busyness has been even lower – until my husband and I put our heads together and figured out how to get it moving again.  Every Monday morning, I go out to a coffee shop and work on this book.  Doing so, I’ve written about 40 pages in three weeks.  My goal is to have this to the editor by March 1st.  If all goes according to plan, it will be out early this fall!

Always Prepared – On the Go is ‘what’s coming’ in 2022.

What is it?  When people want to get prepared, oftentimes they jump in with wanting to buy things and start gardening.  And those things are good, but is that where you should start?  In my years of helping others along their preparedness journies, I’ve learned that there are important background principles that they need to understand before they jump into preparedness.  Why?  Because if you learn and understand these principles you will move ahead in your preparedness journey so much faster and what you do will have a greater impact on those around you.  So Always Prepared – On the Go starts with those principles.

Once we discuss these basic preparedness principles and pitfalls, we delve into what preparedness looks like when life is normal, but we’re not at home.  I spend a whole chapter discussing Everyday Carry.  What do you need to have on your person during your normal day-to-day activities?  Why do you carry certain things?  I even delve into how to organize those things so that you can find what you need at a moment’s notice.

Then you get a whole chapter on how to prepare your vehicle for everyday emergencies and for long trips – because while each of those situations has overlap, there is a definite difference in what you need for a long trip as opposed to a short jaunt around the town you live in.

Be the first to get behind the scenes sneak peeks, updates, and launch information for Always Prepared On the Go!

Always Prepared – At Home

Everyone has lived through a power outage.  If you’re lucky, it was just a couple of hours.  But most of us have lived through a power outage of 1-3 days.  We have on more than one occasion.

So if you have a power outage or a water outage, how do you handle basic day-to-day necessities without hightailing it to a hotel and spending big bucks for the room and for meals away from home?  Always Prepared – At Home has everything you need.

Not only do we discuss ways to handle taking a WARM shower if you don’t have power or water, but we talk about handling other bathroom-related needs.  How do you wash dishes if you don’t have power or water?  Can you cook without power?

There are so many different aspects to preparing your home for these uncertain times in which we live, and Always Prepared – At Home walks you through them step by step including how to organize your supplies so that you can always find what you need at the drop of a hat.

So when will this book be ready?  Well once I finish Always Prepared – On the Go and get it to my editor, I will continue working on this book.  Continue?  Yep.  I’ve already started it before I decided to break this down into three different but related books that will come out one at a time.  They will be smaller and easier to digest this way.  I’ve learned from experience that three 133 page books are so much less daunting than one 400 page book.  I’m hoping to have this to the editor by the end of 2022.

Always Prepared – Bugging Out and TEOTWAWKI

Okay, so this isn’t going to come out this year, and it may not even get started this year, but as a part of the series, I felt that it deserved an honorable mention.  Always Prepared – Bugging Out and TEOTWAWKI is exactly what it sounds like.  I’m going to discuss bugging out and what that looks like (hint: It’s so vastly different than most people think.).  Then we’ll contrast that with TEOTWAWKI.

What’s Coming?

The Sophia Chronicles

Sascha and Murphy

Are you ready for this? Okay, this doesn’t EXACTLY come from A Year Without the Grocery Store, but it does come from me.  I’m branching out into fiction writing!  A friend of mine from Germany, Sascha Brengmann, and I are in the final planning stages of planning out – what we think will be a five-book series called Sophia’s Tale.

So without spilling ALL the beans – cause we do plan on actually writing the books – Sophia’s Tale is a work of dystopian fiction set in the ‘not-too-distant’ future.  What happens when you combine a rapidly-spreading, virulent pandemic (with a death rate of 98%) with a company that was getting ready to launch a wearable device that can monitor and positively affect the health of the wearer in real-time?  You’d get a utopian society ruled by a benevolent AI named Sophia.  Or would you?

Here’s the prologue, written by Sascha. What's Coming to A Year Without the Grocery Store in 2022?

Imagine.

Imagine a world without borders. Without countries. A world where every human being is part of the same thriving community.

Imagine a world that has overcome every dividing tradition of the past. There are no nationalities, no ethnic segregation, no discrimination.

Imagine a world that has overcome almost every disease, where everybody has access to supreme health care, surgery, medication. Where everybody can age in peace and die without pain.

Imagine a world where no child goes hungry, or unclothed, or uneducated.

Imagine a world where everybody is working towards the same goal, the common good.

Stop imagining. That world is real. That world is Aris.

Get ready for an action-packed series of books!  We do not have a title for book #1 yet, however, we are hoping to have it written (and maybe launched to you all) before the end of 2022.

What About You?

So I’ve told you about all of my (our) big plans for this year.  If you could ask me to write one thing. . . one post, book, blog series, class, what would it be and why do you think it needs to be not just written, but written by me?  Leave me a comment below.  I am always looking for topics that my readers find valuable.
