I love granola for breakfast. As a matter of fact, it’s one of the recipes I gave you in the blog post “Seven Simple Food Storage Breakfasts.” When it comes time to make breakfast it’s already ready and at my fingertips. Not that it’s a problem, but the downside to granola is the 15 active minutes of making it and the hour of baking it and all the cleaning up of the pans – that parts the WORST. But there are other ways to use oatmeal that are both easy and convenient!

Today though, we’re going to focus on convenience. Convenience is a wonderful thing now, but an even more important thing during a power outage for instance. Anything that you can do to up your convenience factor so that you can focus your attention on more important things then is a double blessing!
So today, we’re going to talk about homemade oatmeal packets. They are simple to make, cost-effective, and not messy. So that means easy cleanup – SCORE! But if you’re kids are like my kids, what one likes the others hate and sometimes vice-versa. That means that I have to have a lot of different options to what I’m making. I’m going to pass those options on to you.
