National Preparedness Month – Guess What We’re Up To!

September is National Preparedness Month, and we’ve got a lot planned for this month to help you move your preparedness forward!

We have something for everyone!

National Preparedness MonthFour Live Zoom Calls – One Every Monday

Each week, everyone (up to 100 people) can jump on a live Zoom call each week.  Each week, we will cover a different topic and will have time for Q&A at the end of each session.   Topics will include:

September 4th – Yes, it’s Labor day

We’ll be discussing  Making Your Home Your Castle.  What does (non-doomsday prepper) home fortification look like?  What can you do economically?  What are ways that you can make your home less desirable to burglars and other criminals?

September 11th

Time is finite and – at least for me (and I’m assuming for a lot of you) – is a highly sought after commodity.  So this day’s topic will be – Get More Done (including relaxing) in Less Time.

September 18th

Do you struggle with knowing which foods you purchased first?  How do you effectively rotate the foods in your food storage?  How can you keep track of foods that you’ve stashed in different places?  We’re going to Demystify Organizing (and Finding) Your Food Storage on September 18th.

September 25th

Next to home (and possibly work) you likely spend more time in your vehicle than any other place.  So how can we make sure that our vehicles are properly stocked and ready for the emergencies that life throws at us?  On September 25th, we’re going to help you save time, money, and headaches when you’re on the go with the talk Road-Ready Resilience: Equipping Your Vehicle for Life’s Unexpected Twists.

FREE Facebook GroupNational Preparedness Month

If you have purchased at least ONE of paperback products (A Year Without the Grocery Store, A Year Without the Grocery Store Companion Workbook, The Prepper Planner, or Mom on the Run) you can join my FREE Facebook book here.

Make sure you answer the questions, or you won’t be admitted to the group.  You will be asked to verify that you indeed have purchased one of my books and confirm that you will abide by the group guidelines.  And make sure you actually sign up for the Facebook group.  We’d love to have you!

Freebies and GiveAways

So, if you’re in the Facebook group, you’ll have access to some additional things.

You will have access to the Zoom replays for each evening if you can’t join us live.

Each week, you’ll be given a handout and a challenge.  If you do at least one challenge by Saturday of the week the challenge was issued and post proof in the thread on the Facebook group, you’ll get one month’s printable Prepper Planner.

If you do every single challenge by Saturday of the week the challenge was issued and post proof in the thread on the Facebook group, you’ll get October through December’s Printable Prepper Planner.

From the group that does all four challenges, we will draw one name to receive a spiral bound copy of The 2024 Prepper Planner.

If you have questions that you want to pick my brain on, make sure that you join us for one or more of the Zoom calls.

And remember, as we work our way through National Preparedness Month…

You’ve got this, Mama!

  1. Paratus is the third Friday of September. For 2023 Paratus will fall on Sept. 15, 2023. Just a reminder for the readers, kind of like “Christmas for preppers”; if you give a gift it has to be prepper related like, canning lids, or night vision optics, first aid supplies or bullets. You can give your girl a new scarf but it has to be “camo”.
