How Can You Automate Preparedness?

Preparedness is HARD!  It’s hard to pull ourselves away from our books, TVs, and game consoles.  It is hard to learn new things.  It’s hard to be open to learning new concepts that are rather contrary to what you’ve always heard before.

Even if you can pull yourself off your couch, and try something new.  Almost never, when you do finally try something new, do you get it right the first time.  It takes tons of tons of practice.  Then there’s the stuff that you need to get.  How can you even keep track of everything that’s on your ‘need to buy’ list?

What if you could automate some your preparedness efforts – at least to a point.  What if you could set it and forget it?  While you do still need to practice preparedness, there are things that can be done to make things easier.  Let’s dive into some of them.

Ammo Squared

Ammo Squared is a subscription ammo shipping service.  Even if you have enough ammo now, if you are practicing regularly with your firearm, you will need to replenish your ammo regularly.

Each month you. . .

1.) Choose a dollar amount of ammo that you want.  This will either be set aside each month for you or shipped to you each month.  Your choice.

2.)  Pay for your ammo.

Delivery

There are three ways that delivery can be decided.  You can choose to have your ammo delivered monthly.  Another option is that you can choose to have your ammo delivered on your request. You can choose to have your ammo delivered when you reach the free shipping threshold.

So for example if free shipping is $250 of ammo and you order $100 of ammo every month, your ammo will ship every 3 months.

Azure Standard

Azure Standard is a monthly co-op.  You add items to your cart, check out.  Once a month, you get your items delivered to a specific place at a specific time.  I have a good part of an article written about the ins and outs of it here.  The thing is that these things get delivered on a monthly basis.  Have you written up your short-term preparedness menu?  Are you tracking what you need and what you have?  Just adding the next few items to your Azure order each month, will help automate your preparedness.

Thrive Life

When I can’t get items through Azure Standard (like certain freeze-dried items), I get these through Thrive Life.  I also like to use this in place of fresh items when I’m in a hurry.  If I’ve forgotten to defrost hamburger before I need to make something that calls for it, I can use freeze-dried hamburger.  I use ground beef crumbles, sausage crumbles, freeze-dried cheese, and their Gluten-Free Mix.  I have mine delivered on a monthly basis.  Again, I go through my short-term menu each month and just add what is coming next.

Young Living

While I completely understand the value of regular MDs, hospitals, and what is known as allopathic medicine, I am of the opinion that trying to do things more naturally is a very valid option.  I’m a bit “crunchy” that way.  I am in favor of using homeopathy and essential oils (though I know they counteract each other if used simultaneously).  I have seen essential oils do some amazing things that I’m, believe it or not, not allowed to say because it goes against government regulations!  Yea, but you can read a lot of testimonials here.

I am of the opinion that Young Living oils are the best out there, and I only use the best because this is my family’s health at stake.  That being said, do your own research and come to your own conclusions.  Young Living has a program that allows you to place a monthly order so that you can provide for your family’s health in tough times.
