I’ve found that with every endeavor that I’ve gotten involved in, I always have times of reflection as to how to proceed. Sometimes I decide to stick it out. Sometimes, I feel that changes are needed.
Ever since around Christmas time, I’ve wondered if I am going about this blog and business in the most productive way I can. I feel like you all are getting some great content, but I can only go so deep in blog posts. I also feel like I can only connect with you in a very superficial way. Maybe you feel this way too, but I want to be able to go deeper and connect with you all in real and vital ways.
In the midst of my reflections on my blog recently, my life has also become incredibly busy, complex, and complicated over the past year or so. With everything that’s going on and everything that I’m trying to do, I don’t feel like I’m doing a very good job with any of it. So I’ve decided some changes are in store.
The Big Announcement
To that end, I’ve made a decision. I’m going to cut my blogging back to one day a week – at least for now.
But the REALLY exciting news….
1.) Starting in April, I’m going to be offering Mini Modules. My goal will be to launch one of these every month or every other month depending on how busy life is at any given moment. Each module will contain thirty minutes to an hour of teaching on a specific subject along with handouts and worksheets to help you work through your family’s specific situation since we’re all different.
2.) I’m going to be launching a live class once a month. You’ll get live teaching with me and then I’ll answer your questions live. So you get to interact with me one on one, and we’ll be able to get to know each other better! Some changes really are good.
3.) It will also give me time to work on my next book! I have 3-4 book ideas swimming around in my head, and I’m really eager to start engaging with at least one of them.
Interested in Getting Involved?
If there is any part of you that is interested in getting involved, I have several ways that you can do so.
1.) Do you have a gift for writing? I’m going to be hiring people to write articles for me. You’ll have to pitch your article to me before you write it, and if it fits within my blog’s mission, we’ll work out the details. I’ll be paying $25/article. Got an article idea? Feel free to e-mail it to me at Karen@ayearwithoutthegrocerystore.com.
2.) Beta Testers – you’ll have to keep your eyes open for this one. I’ll be sending out notices asking for beta testers as I get close to completing projects. This will give you a chance to try something out for free while giving me feedback that I’ll need.
Those people who have subscribed to my e-mail list will get first dibs at beta-testing my classes. Not on my e-mail list, you can subscribe both to the side of this post or below it.
What About You?
How have you had to re-prioritize your life this last year? What decisions are you 100% glad that you made? Did you make a decision that you still second guess? Leave me a comment below, and let me know.
The most recent decision that I have made this past year was to move in with my great aunt. She opened her door to us and we thank her for it.
Good for you! You can’t go wrong when you put quality over quantity.
Really like this site. Would LOVE to be a Beta tester Thank you
I’m glad you’re enjoying the website! I’ll be happy to add you to my beta tester list.
